Paintless Dent Repair in San Antonio

A dent is displaced metal, not damaged paint. That distinction is the whole reason paintless dent repair exists. Working from behind the panel with specialized rods and tipped tools, we push the metal back along the exact path it traveled when it went in, a fraction of a millimeter at a time, reading the reflection off the panel to tell us where the high and low spots are. Nothing is filled. Nothing is sanded. Nothing is sprayed. When the panel comes back to shape, the paint on it is the paint that left the factory, which means no color match to worry about, no clear coat blend fading in two years, and no disclosure on the vehicle history report.

What it covers

Paintless Dent Repair includes

  • Dents on doors, fenders, hoods, roofs, and quarter panels
  • Body line dents, which need the line re-established before the dent releases
  • Aluminum panels, which hold their shape harder than steel and take longer
  • Access through existing factory openings wherever the panel allows it
  • Glue pull repair where there is no access behind the panel
  • Same day turnaround on most single-panel repairs

How it works

The PDR process

  1. 01

    Free estimate

Bring the vehicle by, or text photos to the shop. We need the panel, the light hitting it at an angle, and a rough size reference. Most dents can be quoted from a good photo.

  2. 02

    Read the panel

Under a reflector board the dent shows its true shape. Depth, whether the metal is stretched, and whether a body line is involved all change the approach and the time.

  3. 03

    Work the metal

Pressure from behind, in small increments, checking the reflection constantly. Rushing a dent leaves high spots that are harder to fix than the original damage.

  4. 04

    Finish and inspect

The panel is checked under multiple light angles, then washed. You look at it with us before you pay.

Proof, not promises

Real PDR results

  • Silver vehicle panel photographed under a reflector board after paintless dent repair, the surface reading flat with no filler or respray
  • Red car door after a dent was worked out from behind the panel, with the factory paint and body line intact
  • Dark painted panel under raking light showing a finished repair with no high spots visible in the reflection

Questions

Paintless Dent Repair questions

How long does paintless dent repair take?

Most single dents are done the same day, often within a couple of hours. Multiple panels take longer. We will give you a realistic time at the estimate rather than an optimistic one.

What kind of dents cannot be repaired this way?

If the paint is cracked or chipped at the dent, PDR alone will not restore it, because the paint is already broken. Very sharp creases and metal that has been stretched badly may only come back part of the way. We will tell you honestly what the panel will and will not do before we start.

Is paintless dent repair cheaper than body shop work?

Almost always, because there is no filler, no paint, no blending into adjacent panels, and no days of cure time. It also preserves the factory finish, which protects resale value in a way a respray does not.

Will I be able to see where the dent was?

On a properly finished repair, no. That is the standard we work to, and it is why we check the panel under several light angles before we hand it back.
